EMPIRE OF AMERICA

This note is part of Stephen Barnwell's series of Oil Certificates, political satire notes commenting on
the turbulent political times we live in. With the United States having launched two wars in a single administration, and threatening to launch a third war, even the most conservative citizen must step back and question the wisdom of such action. This new note is filled with imagery that takes our
current warlike administration and projects it to
its logical conclusion: the Empire of America.

SECURITY FEATURES

Empire of America notes are printed on Safety Paper, or "copy-proof" paper. This type of security paper is where a fine pattern is microprinted
onto the paper stock in special colored inks. This pattern embeds itself into any reproduction.
When photocopied, the phrase UNAUTHORIZED COPY emerges. When scanned into a computer,
an interference pattern is generated when a
halftone screen is applied by the printer at
standard printing resolutions, seen below.
